Bin mal gespannt wie lange es noch dauert bis solche Spielereien mit dem Namen Bruce Lee aufhören.

(Hong Kong/AP) The corpse of famed martial arts superstar Bruce Lee has reportedly been unearthed and re-animated with the sole purpose of having him fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC. The UFC selects fighters from various backgrounds – including Taekwondo, Aikido and Savate - and pits them against one another in "no-holds-barred" matches. While opponents of the UFC claim it is "barbaric," others say it is no more dangerous than other professional sports like ice skating, fencing, and badminton. "This is the fight fans have always wanted to see," according to UFC president, Dana White, when asked why he had ordered Lee resurrected from the dead in order to compete in the UFC. He went on to explain that Xyience, a company that manufactures sports drinks and steroid supplements, had invented a special serum that could re-animate corpses for three to five days - long enough to get Lee up to speed with current fighting techniques before his match with the current UFC heavyweight champion, Tim Sylvia. Some religious groups have promised to protest the event, insisting that White is "playing god" by resurrecting Lee. "It's unnatural, an abomination," said Father John Crowler, head of the archdiosce in Las Vegas, where the fight is tentatively scheduled to take place. “It is an offense against both man and God.” Asked about the priest's comments, White didn't mince words: "He can go fuck himself," said the UFC president. The match is expected to draw the largest pay-per-view in the organization's history. |
